My top housekeeper mixed up the soap dispensers and the purell dispensers last week and it has been one big mess. It is not easy to get either out of their appropriate dispensers, so we just put notes on them explaining the situation. The biggest problem with that is that the purell dispenser is located next to the bathroom door and then the soap dispensers are of course by the sink.

Many people, myself included, have decided to just forego the washing of the hands and squirt a little purell on them and go. I know that this is not the right thing to do, but when you have a pile of work sitting on your desk, time is money. The rate that it is going, it could take a few weeks before the soap dispensers empty and can be replaced with the proper liquid.

I did not reprimand the housekeeper that made the mix up, it was an honest mistake and since the containers that hold the liquids look so much alike, I can see how it would be easy to do. I did tell her that if it were to happen again, she would probably get into trouble. I have advised her to label the liquids in a way that they are easier to decipher.
