Careers With Color Me

I was expecting the life insurance quotes that I got from our agent to be much lower than they were. We had decided to add our children to our policies, just in case anything would ever happen. Our lawyer suggested it, when we were revising our will last week and we talked it over and decided it would be a good idea.

When I called and requested the life insurance quotes from our agent, he told me that adding four new people was going to increase our premiums significantly. I guess that I underestimated his comments. I then turned to the internet to see if I could find cheaper life insurance somewhere else.

We ended up putting the kids on a separate no medical exam life insurance policy that was much cheaper than the quotes from our agent. This actually made it easier since they did not have to go through a physical to qualify for this type of no medical exam life insurance. In the future, when they all get a little older maybe the rates will go down and we can eventually add them to our policy.

It would have been kind of hard to explain to them that they were having a physical to qualify for life insurance and then explaining what life insurance was on top of that.
