Types of financial help to students of art school
To facilitate studies in case of real needy students, the authorities have come up with various schemes that gives financial aid to the student who is facing difficulties in pursuing his studies properly due to want of funds.
It is true that a student could also get student loans for the purpose. But the difference is that a loan is to be repaid. The student loans sanctioned in favor of students has to be repaid after he or she completes graduation and those sanctioned in favor of the parents of the students requires repayment to start almost immediately.
Students studying in schools are eligible for various types of loans. These are tuition fee loans, maintenance loans, grants for living costs, bursaries and scholarships from institutions. Students who despite studying in a school or an Art schools have children or adult dependents shall be eligible for extra help.
For most of the students, a loan comprises of the tuition fee in addition to a maintenance loan. These loans are paid directly at the commencement of the academic year. A student who qualifies for the course also becomes eligible for sanction of 75% of the maximum limit of the loan he is eligible to get. The balance amount is based on the income assessment of the student concerned. Repayment of loans is made through the tax system and only on completion of the higher studies of the student.
